An opportunity has opened for a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager to work within the Retail Finance department. The role will be based at our Head Office in Cape Town.Duties & Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE
To plan, co-ordinate and manage delivery of the Clicks CSI strategy, in line with group policy and objectives whilst delivering positive community engagement and investment. In addition to adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements in support of business objectives.
JOB OBJECTIVES
- To develop, lead and deliver on the CSI Strategy for Clicks aligned to the overall Clicks Group CSI goals through an effective implementation strategy, ongoing monitoring thereof and providing accurate reporting on progress
- To be accountable for all regulatory and compliance obligations required by Clicks Retailers when engaging with the relevant stakeholders pertaining to the corporate social responsibility initiatives i.e. NPO's, Government organisation etc.
- To proactively identify and manage all risks associated with the implementation of initiatives that may result in financial and reputational risks, prepare plans to mitigate risks and thereby ensure the successful implementation of the Clicks CSI strategy
- To prepare, manage and optimise the CSI budget for Clicks Retailers in accordance with achieving the deliverables aligned to the CSI strategy in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders
- To manage all staff, contractors and partners engaged in CSI initiatives and identify opportunities for employee participation to create a shared purpose and contribution aligned to our Clicks values
- To facilitate and manage weekly status meetings with Management team members and track actioning of items through ongoing follow up weekly until completion
- To work alongside the Marketing Team to create brand awareness and gain support for Clicks CSI initiatives
- To continuously review the effectiveness of the CSI initiatives i.e. donors, funding, sponsors in terms of potential new opportunities and review of current initiatives to ensure alignment to the CSI strategy
- To work collaboratively with the various cross-functional teams and CSI Committee to gain commitment towards the achievement of the strategic pillars contained in the CSI Strategy and continuously measure delivery on strategy and goals.
- To build effective relationships internally and externally that support the successful implementation of CSI initiatives as well as foster meaningful partnerships and collaboration.
- To maintain accurate and up to date records of documentation pertaining to all matters related to Clicks corporate social responsibility initiatives in support of compliance and ethical
Desired Experience & Qualification
EDUCATION
- Degree or other relevant qualification in Humanities / Social Sciences / Development Economics or related field (e.g., CSI, Business, Social Sciences, Sustainability)
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- 5 years of experience in the Corporate Social Investment, sustainability or related work industry
- 3 years of experience in developing and managing CSI programs
- 3 years of experience in developing and managing a Trust
- 3 years' experience in stakeholder engagement and community relations
Desirable
- 2-3 years Public Relations experience
