Job Description
A great opportunity is available for a Management Accountant to oversee the finance department, ensuring a strong control environment and providing essential accounting support. In this role, you will be a key financial resource for the CEO and Operations, handling everything from analysis and reporting to budgets and forecasts. You will manage cash flow, statutory functions, and serve as the point-of-entry for external audits. You will also manage the finance team. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the finance department review and control environment
• Provide accounting support and guidance to the team
• Responsible for financial resources
• Prepare analysis, reporting and business Information
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Perform the following statutory functions for the business: VAT, EMP, Income tax, BEE verification, AFS, audit (external), cash management, cash flow forecast and bank approvals
• Prepare and oversee monthly GL journals

Requirements:

• Bcom Accounting or financial accounting qualification
• Articles would be highly advantageous here
• Proven experience in similar role with team management experience
• Working knowledge of financial control environment (Auditing) and other finance functions
• Strong MS Office and MS Excel skills at intermediate level
