Project Packaging Executive
Introduction
The purpose of this role is to assist with the originating, analysis, preparation, structuring, financial modelling and capital raising of Infrastructure / Project Finance transactions throughout South Africa and the wider African continent. Build a robust pipeline of prospective fundable projects and potential funding institutions.

Build a robust pipeline of prospective fundable projects and potential funding institutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Originating fundable Infrastructure development projects.
- Lead project development, technical and financial feasibility.
- Analysis of potential transactions and preparation of all documentation related to funding requirements.
- Review and support negotiations of legal terms and conditions for the transactions.
- Analysis of potential transaction tax structure and ensure that the transactions are tax efficient.
- Developing possible funding solutions for a variety of transactions.
- Monitoring and reporting on a portfolio of Infrastructure projects under development.
- Lead the origination of projects in all sectors in relevant countries.
- Conduct basic assessment prior to accepting a deal into a pipeline for evaluation / due diligence.
- Perform and lead due diligences.
- Build sustainable relationships with strategic partners to achieve achieving strategic objectives.
- Identify all risks and define mitigation plans to minimise these risks.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience
- Over 5 years of deal origination and assessment experience
- Min 5 years' experience in Project Finance in infrastructure
- Excellent financial modelling / analysis experience
- Good understanding of the tax laws and application thereof
- Responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Strong commercial focus
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Good communication skills, both written and presentational
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and work in team setups
