We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant for a 12-month FTC maternity cover. In this role, you will take ownership of preparing and delivering accurate monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting across the allpay businesses.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA or CIMA qualified, with solid experience in a similar role. A strong commercial understanding, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement are essential. Success in this role will also require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to motivate and lead a team.

Key
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver timely, accurate monthly management accounts for allpay Limited, Carriages, and allpay Holdings, ensuring alignment with budget expectations and maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
- Reconcile key balance sheet items monthly, including fixed assets, stock, accruals, and deferred income, with a focus on accuracy, curiosity in problem-solving, and upholding financial integrity.
- Lead and manage a team of Assistant Accountants, fostering a culture of collaboration, effective delegation, motivation, and continuous development.
- Provide financial insight and business support, delivering analysis and challenges to drive profitability, with a proactive approach to helping budget holders understand their financial performance.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts, working with agility and collaboration within the Commercial Finance Team to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
About You
What are we looking for you to have?
- ACCA or CIMA Qualified: You must be a qualified accountant with substantial experience in management accounting, ideally within a similar role.
- Proficiency in financial software: Advanced Excel skills are required, and a strong working knowledge of Sage 200 would be advantageous.
- Strong Commercial Acumen: A deep understanding of financial principles and commercial insights, with the ability to provide valuable financial support and challenge to drive business growth.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrable ability to analyze financial data, solve complex problems, and approach tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Leadership and Team Management: Experience in leading and motivating a team, with the ability to delegate effectively and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the business.
