Our rural client is recruiting an Accounts Clerk. Reporting to the Financial Controller this person will assist in the smooth running of the finance department.
Responsibilities will include:
* Purchase ledger duties - checking and matching purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
* Obtaining bank details from suppliers and reconciling supplier statements
* Preparing payment proposals using internet banking
* Update and maintain approved supplier and subcontractor records
* Sales and nominal ledger administration
* Petty cash, banking duties and company credit card accounts
* Assisting with the preparation of year end data
To be considered as Accounts Clerk in this small but busy team, you will need the following.
* Purchase Ledger experience including high volume invoice processing.
* Fast and accurate inputting skills with a strong attention to detail.
* VAT filing experience
* Intermediate IT skills - Word, Excel and some Sage software exposure
* Some credit control experience would be helpful but is not essential
