Introduction
Our client, based in Umhlanga, is looking for an Export Operations Coordinator to join their team for a fixed term. Candidates need to not currently be working, and happy to work a fixed term contract.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor vessel sailings to initiate the export process.
• Ensure invoicing is completed within the required timeframe (48 hours from vessel sailing).
• Address and resolve customer queries within 24 hours.
• Manage and clear financial documents on a weekly basis and follow up on outstanding items daily.
• Support the Finance Department with accounts receivable and payable queries.
• Maintain export compliance within 5 days, coordinating with relevant teams daily.
• Submit all required export manifests.
• Assist with invoicing according to client requirements.
• Respond to case management queries within 4 hours.
• Perform additional tasks as required to meet operational needs.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric.
• Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, or a related field is advantageous.
• Relevant shipping or logistics experience.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Available to work from the 1st of October 2024 on a fixed term contract.
