Job Overview:We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Financial Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing fixed assets, reconciling accounts, and supporting budgeting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the Fixed Asset Register, handling new acquisitions, renovations, and disposals.
• Account Reconciliation: Process and reconcile:
• Debtors
• Creditors (including allocation and coding; data entry by the Creditors team)
• Cashbook and Petty Cash
• Monthly journals for Payroll and Depreciation
• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate bookkeeping up to Trial Balance.
• Management Accounts: Prepare, verify, and follow up on Management Accounts.
• VAT Compliance: Handle VAT reporting and compliance.
• Salary and Wages: Process and manage Salary and Wages.
• Credit Card Administration: Oversee credit card transactions.
• Budget Coordination: Assist with planning and coordination of the annual budget.
• Beneficiaries List: Maintain and update the beneficiaries list in the banking system.
• Payment Processing: Create and manage payments.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank deposits reconciliation, cash tracking, and follow-up.
• Audit Files: Maintain organized monthly audit files.
• Food Cost Verification: Verify and follow up on food cost details.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B. Comm).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid driver's license.
• 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with Sage Evolution.
• Knowledge of GAAP Retail Office is advantageous.
• Experience in the FMCG (restaurant) industry is a plus.
