Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain a cost accounting system, including cost standards for raw materials and finished goods.
- Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to cost accounts.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including conducting physical inventory counts and reconciling inventory variances.
- Provide support in budgeting and forecasting processes by analysing cost trends and variances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) preferred.
- Proven experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
