Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Finance (essential)
Stable employment history
5 -10 years related experience
Proficiency in Pastel (essential)
Duties:
Financial Record Maintenance: Oversee and maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and General Ledger entries.
Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, verify discrepancies and ensure that all financial statements and ledgers are accurate and up-to-date.
Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, such as Balance Sheets, income statements and cash flow statements, for management review. This may include monthly, quarterly, or annual reports.
Payroll Processing: Manage and process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees and handle related tasks such as tax withholdings and benefits administration.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and relevant laws and regulations. This includes preparing for and assisting with audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting processes, financial forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Data Management: Maintain and update financial databases and records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Accounts Management: Handle invoicing, manage accounts receivable and payable and follow up on outstanding payments.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard the organization's financial assets.
Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior bookkeeping staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement, providing insights to senior management.
System Improvement: Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
R40 000 - R45 000 - Monthly plus No Benefits
