Role reports to the Head of Finance and is a full time and in-office position. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and documents accurately
- Responsible for accounting processes and tasks - payments,fees,general ledger account reconciliations
- Co-ordinate and liaise with internal parties to support internal company activities
- Monitor and analyse financial data and identify discrepancies
- Prepare and assist with preparation of financial and departmental reports,budgets,annual financial statements
- Assist with preparation of company taxes
- Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines affecting the finances
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Post Graduate Diploma or Honours in Accounting or similar
- Must have completed articles or have at least 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role within the financial sector
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles and practices
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge, ability to work on Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Great Plains adventageous
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet department/job objectives and deadlines independently
