Duties & Responsibilities
Assessment of “best practice”, preparation, drafting and obtaining approvals of ESG policies and frameworks within the overall context of the Eris business, for the Asset Management, Investment and Fund Management business and its associated funds
•
Developing appropriate ESG benchmarks and reporting to best practice
•
The management of the implementation of the approved ESG policies, including the data collection, assessment, benchmarking, evaluation throughout the business operations
•
Regular assessment, evaluation and recommendations for improvement of the stated policies and mechanisms of the ESG and sustainability policies within the Asset Management and Investment and Fund Management businesses and across the business operations
•
Engage with internal and external partners to stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes related to ESG, contributing to the development and communication of ESG policies and initiatives
•
Develop and communicate ESG practices and policies and ensure compliance
Analysis and reporting
•
Development, preparation and management of ESG reports for the portfolios under management for purposes of compliance with strategic policies, regulatory framework and shareholder/investor requirements
•
Provide transparent, reliable and measurable data about sustainable performance
•
Assist with the development of processes to ensure efficient collection of ESG data from various sources for analysis and reporting

Perform investment research and analysis, financial analysis and financial modelling for new investments from an ESG perspective
•
Track actions taken by the company to minimize ESG risks and environmental impacts
•
Manage communication with stakeholders and others, address concerns from stakeholders and others on ESG issues, monitor and ensure that ESG initiatives and commitments are executed on time and to standard
Desired Experience & Qualification
BCom (Hons) or BSc Property Studies (Hons) or higher qualifications.
Experience
•
ESSENTIAL: Must have at least 3 years' experience in real estate and ESG strategy, reporting and analysis. Typically obtained in private equity, corporate finance, equities research, asset management, etc.
•
Ideally having exposure to setting ESG policy and framework
•
Strong report-writing skills
Package & Remuneration
R420,000 per annum
