- Champion the accuracy of financial transactions and ensure all documentation is robust and compliant.
- Lead monthly financial operations, including payments and reconciliations, with a keen eye for detail.
- Maintain and scrutinize accounts payable and receivable, ensuring the financial heartbeat of the company is strong.
- Oversee the asset register, ensuring fixed assets are meticulously recorded and managed.
- Compile essential monthly returns for regulatory bodies, keeping the company in good standing.
- Build and nurture collaborative relationships with colleagues, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Provide mentorship to team members, guiding them towards excellence.
- Analyze and report on departmental costs, offering strategic insights for optimization.
- Prepare financial reports with precision and punctuality, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed.
- Uphold the highest standards of accounting practices and regulatory compliance.
- Continuously evaluate and refine financial systems and processes for peak efficiency.
Requirements:
- Matriculation certificate (Matric).
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related field.
- A clean criminal record, reflecting your trustworthiness and integrity.
- Experience in a mining or similar industrial environment, demonstrating your adaptability and sector knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Dynamics or an equivalent ERP system, alongside the full MS Office suite.
- Completion of articles or experience as a trainee accountant, showcasing a solid accounting foundation.
- Deep understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, staying agile and responsive to change
