Key
Responsibilities:
Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, corporations, and individuals, ensuring all accounting and tax requirements are met.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
Tax Compliance: Manage and prepare VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns, ensuring timely submission and adherence to tax regulations.
Audit Support: Assist with audit preparation, liaise with auditors, and ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
Bookkeeping: Oversee and manage bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate records and preparing monthly management accounts.
Advisory Services: Provide clients with advice on financial and business matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all accounting matters.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and contribute to team development and training.
Requirements:
Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in an accounting practice, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage), Excel, and other MS Office applications.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax compliance.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial clients.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Client-Focused: A proactive approach to client service, with a focus on delivering value and building long-term relationships.
