Position Overview:As a Bookkeeper you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. You will be responsible for handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately, and providing essential support to our accounting team. Key Responsibilities:
Record Financial Transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Maintain Ledgers: Update and maintain general ledgers, including reconciling accounts and ensuring all entries are accurate.
Prepare Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
Reconcile Bank Statements: Reconcile bank statements and ensure that discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
Assist with Payroll: Support payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
Support Audits: Assist in preparing documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
Communicate with Clients: Provide excellent client service by responding to inquiries and resolving any accounting-related issues.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in an accounting firm or similar environment.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and clients.
