Qualifications:
  • BCom Degree (or CIMA) with a major in accounting, management accounting, or finance.


Experience Required:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Essential: Proven experience in asset management.
  • Advantageous: Hands-on experience with Sage X3.
  • Required: Advanced Excel skills.


What You'll Be Doing:

Project Management Support:
  • Attend meetings with business managers, ensuring accurate classification of Capex and Opex projects.
  • Review and audit payback proposals to ensure alignment with actual results.

Asset Register Maintenance:
  • Maintain and update the asset register, ensuring all projects are budget-compliant and correctly recorded in the General Ledger.
  • Conduct annual assessments and manage insurance declarations.

Motor Vehicle Claims:
  • Coordinate insurance claims and manage the disposal of scrapped vehicles.

Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly capital expenditure and cash flow reports for the management pack.
  • Compile the creditors' spend report monthly.

Stock Counts and Adjustments:
  • Serve as an auditor for quarterly stock counts, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Budget Management:
  • Collaborate with departments on annual capital expenditure budgets and provide support for fixed cost budgeting.

ERP Administration:
  • Oversee the month-end closing of the fixed asset module.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
  • Perform timely and accurate reconciliations.

Internal Control:
  • Ensure all change control documents are in place and adhered to.
