Duties & Responsibilities
In order to be successful in this role, The Credit Controller is expected to be detail-oriented and have strong communication skills between colleagues and clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Providing Core Support to the Financial Manager
Knowlegde of Transport Industry
Atleast 2 to 3 years experience working in a managment position
A minimum of 4 years experience working in accounts receivable and 4 years in collections or billing and creditors recons, or similar extensive work experieince
Proficient in Pastel Accounting
Candidates with Winfreight knowledge will be given preference.

Duties & Responsibilities
In order to be successful in this role, The Credit Controller is expected to be detail-oriented and have strong communication skills between colleagues and clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Providing Core Support to the Financial Manager
- The overseeing of the bank and cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable and accounting and reporting
- Help Manage the team of Debtors, Creditors, Reception, Cleaning staff
- Month End
- Strong numeracy skills
- Oversee the POD process
- Oversee payments processes
- Oversee Invoicing process
- Oversee a book value of +/- R20 mil
- Manage Ad-hoc journals, and control general ledger reporting
- Process / review month end accounting checks, journals and recons
- Manage and control internal financial controls
- Software - Proficient on Pastel and Winfreight
- Communication skills - working with colleagues, clients and accountants on a regular basis with a friendly disposition and a professional demeanour
- Organisation - Excellent organisation skills and prioritization to ensure that tasks are completed on time
- Perform monthly supplier reconciliations
- Load all supplier invoices onto the system
- Manage all supplier payments
- Load Rates onto the system
- Load Fuel onto the system
