About the role:

Our Private Client team works with clients from all different sizes and segments, from wealthy individuals and international families to trusts and entrepreneurial businesses. We provide holistic advice to our clients across all areas of tax. Typically work in this area will focus on the issues affecting the wealth owners as well as their wealth and business structures . We collaborate with other areas of PwC to enable us to work holistically with clients to find solutions to achieve their plans.

As well as general Private Client practitioners, we are specifically looking to recruit Managers who wish to have a focus in the following areas of expertise;

  • Deals Tax: advising businesses and their owners on all tax aspects surrounding M&A, from preparation for a sale through to deal execution and post-deal structuring.
  • Real Estate Tax: advising Real Estate businesses (including Real Estate funds, REITs, property developers and investment businesses as well as property-rich businesses generally) on their tax affairs
  • International Tax: advising private businesses with international operations (inbound and outbound) as well as internationally-mobile entrepreneurs on cross-border tax considerations.


What your days will look like;
  • We are recruiting a Senior Manager in one of our Northern offices with significant experience advising HNWI, trusts, privately owned businesses, and private equity on complex matters.
  • Develop new client relationships and pursue new opportunities within our market, working closely with Private Client Partners and Directors.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of client engagements, collaborating across the firm to deliver complex projects and develop market-leading relationships.
  • Maintain expert tax knowledge, stay current with technical developments, and advise clients and internal stakeholders, including delivering sessions at events while supervising and coaching team members.


The role is for you if:
  • You are ACA and/or CTA qualified, or overseas equivalent.
  • You have extensive and up-to-date UK (and preferably overseas) tax knowledge, with experience in complex tax issues for private wealth clients.
  • You have strong project management and communication skills, managing demanding client projects, serving as the point of contact, and supporting various stakeholders.
  • You are proficient in written communication, coaching, delegation, and efficient use of technology to manage relationships, pursue opportunities, and oversee deliverables.
