FinTech Recruitment is supporting one of our global energy businesses as they looking to recruit a qualified accountant for the role of Senior Reporting Accountant.
The Senior Statutory Reporting Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial information for the management team. The role is primarily focused and responsible for the UK legal entity and consolidated statutory reporting. This role requires an excellent level of attention to detail and an understanding of the generally accepted accounting policies across all relevant jurisdictions.
Candidates will ideally hold a recognised professional accounting qualification whilst having a strong background and knowledge of UK GAAP & IFRS.

The Senior Statutory Reporting Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial information for the management team. The role is primarily focused and responsible for the UK legal entity and consolidated statutory reporting. This role requires an excellent level of attention to detail and an understanding of the generally accepted accounting policies across all relevant jurisdictions.
- Prepare statutory financial statements complying with appropriate reporting GAAP
- Ensure all statutory legal entity documentation is completed and filed appropriately
- Review monthly/quarterly local and group reports & presentations: consolidated and individual income statements; cash flow and balance sheets on month and YTD basis; and analysis of performance vs forecasts and budgets
- Monitor and track variances between group/segmental and legal entity reporting
- Review significant variances and accounting movements ensuring complete and accurate statutory results
- Reconcile and liaise with tax department regarding disclosures
- Carry out audit and financial reporting in all jurisdictions
- Prepare and review analysis/reports for internal control requirements
- Liaise with internal and external organisations as required
