This is predominantly a remote role with very occasional client visits as per business needs. It is an 18 month fixed term to cover parental leave.

Purpose of the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Mergers & Acquisitions team where you will be responsible for the delivery of the due diligence process for new members and acquisitions.

You will need to build relationships with vendors to start the process of aligning acquisitions into our way of working and work with our internal M&A team to highlight CASS 5 risks. You will support the handover process following acquisition into the integration team, support external audit requirements and produce accurate reporting.

What you will do

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following:

  • Deliver the due diligence process for new members and acquisitions.
  • Support the Client Money Integrations and Remediation teams.
  • Support client money, insurer & statutory audits (including management updates, collation of evidence, review of evidence with stakeholders, agreement of action plans)Fulfil your responsibilities in line with agreed processes in order to achieve agreed objectives, and in doing so, ensure compliance with the client and insurer money rules within the FCA Handbook.
  • Build and manage member and partner relationships in respect of onboarding and acquisitions and integration rollout.
  • Take ownership of key regulatory requirements e.g. 5.5.69 calculations.
  • Support month end and internal procedures.


Qualifications and Experience

Specialised Knowledge - Strong working knowledge and experience of CASS 5 regulation, some experience working in a financial control environment in a financial services industry is essential and understanding of Client Money Operations concepts and processes.

Professional Certification - Any qualification or part qualification in a financial profession would be preferred but is not essential.

Microsoft skills - Excel to intermediate level including lookups and pivots.
