Job & Company Description: This company specialising in insurance is urgently looking for a phenomenal candidate to fill their recently vacated Management Accountant role for a 3 months period, to provide monthly statutory, regulatory and management reporting for a specified C&I business unit. This role will require an individual with a passion for accounting practices, applicable laws, codes and regulations amongst other things. The key responsibilities for this role will include:

Cost containment: Demonstrate cost consciousness and awareness of personal contribution to costs and productivity
Identify and escalate potential risks that may lead to increased costs
Risk and Compliance: Comply with and adhere to identified governance and compliance standards and escalate problems for investigation and resolution
Provide timeous reports on operations, performance and audit findings
Report on transactional activity progression
Business information analysis
Collect and analyse data to determine cost of business activities and report on results
Analyse monthly budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls

As you will be required to hit the ground running extensive experience is essential. The requirements: Qualification:

Bachelor of Accounting Degree or equivalent (non-negotiable)
CIMA qualification (preferable)

Experience:

1 to 3 years experience in a similar environment
Knowledge accepted accounting practices and principles

Skills Required:

Excellent analytical and communication skills
Excellent collaborative skills
Ownership and accountability
