Introduction

Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic Financial Manager to join their Operations department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive financial excellence and strategic growth in a fast-paced environment.

As the Financial Manager for Operations, you will be a key player in optimizing financial performance and driving continuous improvement. This role combines financial expertise with operational insights, offering a unique chance to impact the company's bottom line directly. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, providing critical financial analysis and guidance to support decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a strategic financial business partner to the Operations department, providing insights and recommendations for improved performance
Analyze production numbers and expenditure, calculating costs per SKU and distribution value per pallet
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
Lead the preparation of monthly income statements and financial reports for the Operations department
Collaborate with Procurement to optimize purchasing strategies and cost-saving initiatives
Drive continuous improvement initiatives from a financial perspective within Operations
Oversee stock management processes, including regular counts and variance investigations
Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
Review and validate financial work performed by the Factory Accountant
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies

Requirements:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a manufacturing or operations environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in driving process improvements
