Group Health and Benefits Client Executive

A rare opportunity exists within the Group Employee Health and Benefits Team to service a portfolio of clients across the Wellington and lower North Island region. This unique opportunity will see you manage and grow a portfolio of employee health and benefits clients to deliver world-class advisory services.

We will count on you to:
  • Manage a portfolio of allocated corporate employee health and benefits clients
  • Manage all aspects of large strategic accounts autonomously
  • Provide high quality customer service, claims advocacy and advice to all stakeholders
  • Actively develop and generate new and expanded business opportunities
  • Take accountability for the timely and accurate production, processing and delivery of client related materials and documentation


Day-to-day this might include:
  • Client interactions including calls, in-person presentations and meetings with C-Suite and Heads of HR
  • Providing high quality customer service, claims advocacy and advice
  • Providing superior People Risk consulting services
  • Building strong relationships with all stakeholders, including internal (general brokers, management, global colleague network) and external (clients, claims administrators, and underwriters) customers to deliver exceptional outcomes
  • Expertly managing account queries
  • Developing a thorough understanding of client needs and the products and services we offer
  • Processing claims
  • Regularly attending industry events and training
  • May be some travel regionally


Required skills and experience:
  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Advice (Level 5) or working towards it
  • Experience managing corporate employee health and benefits clients
  • Demonstrative experience proactively identifying new opportunities
  • All facets of People Risk Insurance experience, including Employee Health and Benefits
  • Proven track record validating successful claims outcomes
  • Proven success placing People Risk products with Heads of HR and C-Suite executives
  • Thorough understanding of People Risk account queries
  • In-depth knowledge of People Risk compliance
  • Understanding compliance within the Financial Regulatory System
  • Ability to adapt and learn new subject matter rapidly
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and people skills
  • Self-motivation to work autonomously while being part of a wider team
