Our client, a leading manufacturing group in Ayrshire are looking to add a Financial Accountant to their established Finance team, reporting directly into the Finance Manager.
Please note this role is fully office based.
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our group financial statements for a number of entities. You will play a key part in driving improvement within the internal controls/processes, whilst remaining compliant and navigating the group through internal and external audits.

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our group financial statements for a number of entities. You will play a key part in driving improvement within the internal controls/processes, whilst remaining compliant and navigating the group through internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements across all group entities, ensuring compliance throughout.
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance, identifying key trends and potential risks.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights to support business planning.
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Work closely with finance teams across the group, ensuring alignment and consistency in financial reporting.
- All other adhoc duties as per the group requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Fully qualified.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, with strong consolidation skills.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- A meticulous approach to financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
