This role is key to maintaining financial strategy, ensuring best practices are followed, and supporting the business's financial health. The successful candidate will handle all financial processes, compliance, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all activities.
Job Overview:This role is integral to driving the financial strategy, ensuring adherence to best practices, and contributing to the overall financial health of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of financial processes, compliance, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial activities.Qualifications and Experience:
A finance-related degree is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar financial management role.
Motor Industry experience is non-negotiable.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and tax regulations.
Proven ability to analyse financial data, resolve accounting issues, and deliver detailed reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial strategies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the scope of responsibility.
Manage the financial reporting process, including the preparation of management accounts, budgets, cash flows, and variance analysis.
Ensure all financial reconciliations are accurately completed and reviewed, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
Oversee risk management and mitigation efforts, ensuring compliance with governance processes and reducing potential liabilities.
Supervise the financial aspects of operations, including billing, payments, debt management, and asset security.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance revenue streams.
Manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure high standards of customer service.
Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels in a professional manner.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical financial management.
Proficiency in business applications and a valid driver's licence are required.
