IntroductionOur client, a well-known South African listed company, is looking for an HR Payroll & Reporting Officer for their Cape Town depot who is a self-motivated, detail & process-oriented individual.

The role has a dual purpose:

  • HR Payroll: To ensure effective administration of the full payroll process - conducting & monitoring accurate & timeous payments, audits, statutory requirements, & the accurate recording & storing of information

  • HR Reporting: To support an effective & efficient HR function by collating & administering HR processes, data, & metrics to improve the link between people & data, & provide accurate reporting.



Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Performance Areas:

HR Payroll:

  • The full payroll function for multiple divisions

  • Manage the payroll process according to the payroll framework & relevant authorisations

  • Collate & verify information to be submitted for payroll processing

  • Understand & manage income tax, SARS requirements, & employee benefits

  • Responsible for Tax Year-End, IRP5 submissions, COIDA submissions, & payroll reconciliations

  • Responsible for reviewing & reporting on payroll results for accurate & timeous salary payments - weekly & monthly

  • Oversee maintenance, monitoring, & control of leave records & reports

  • Responsible for the Time & Attendance processes

  • Resolve payroll queries



HR Admin & Reporting:

  • Provide HR support with generalist functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training, statutory compliance, & IR matters

  • Reporting - draw & collate reports & schedules, prepare & collate various reports based on business needs, including information required by the Department of Labour

  • Collation of data for Internal Audits

  • Implementation of HR projects



Desired Experience & QualificationRequirements:

  • HR Degree or Diploma

  • Experience with Payroll and HR Administration

  • Knowledge of Payroll & HR related legislation
