Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Identify and analyze potential risks related to financial transactions, investments, operations, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk assessment framework to evaluate the impact and likelihood of various risks.
Risk Mitigation and Management:
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to mitigate identified risks.
- Recommend and oversee risk control measures, ensuring they are effectively applied and monitored.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and ensure the organization's practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
Risk Reporting:
- Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
- Communicate risk findings, trends, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Incident Management:
- Investigate and respond to risk incidents and breaches, coordinating with internal teams to manage and resolve issues.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Risk Analysis:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, including stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Analyze financial data and market trends to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver risk management training programs for employees to raise awareness and ensure adherence to risk policies.
- Promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.
Internal Controls:
- Evaluate and strengthen internal controls to minimize risk exposure and ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of risk management processes and controls.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, compliance, operations) to integrate risk management practices into daily operations.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other third parties as necessary.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, or a related role within the financial services industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in risk management software, financial modeling, and data analysis tools. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks.
Certifications: Relevant risk management certifications (e.g., CRM, FRM, CFA) are highly desirable.
