Job summary
The Risk, Control and Financial Accounting Directorate (RCFA) is part of the Chief Finance Officer (CFO)Group within HMRC. The activities of RCFA Directorate include accounting for all HMRC activity; responsibilityfor HMRC's strategic risk management process and Departmental assurance; and responsibility formaintaining and assuring finance processes and associated controls across HMRC. The directorate is heavilyinvolved in projects to transform our finance processes and systems and is also responsible for the financeprofession across HMRC.?
Job description
The Deputy Director Risk and Control will lead the HMRC centre ofexcellence for risk and control, reporting into the Chief Risk, Control andFinancial Accountant, (HMRCs Chief Risk Officer) and deputising wherenecessary. ?
This strategic leader will use their business acumen and confident seniorstakeholder engagement skills to both influence senior stakeholders acrossHMRC and challenge them on their accountability for enterprise riskmanagement.?
The role supports the Chief Risk Officer in using risk management to make areal difference at the highest level, as well as assuring that HMRCsgovernance and controls are robust.

- Relevant qualification: either ERM certified in Enterprise Risk Management, or a qualified accountant or a qualified internal auditor (CIA)?
