Head of Risk Management - FTSE 100 Retail business

£100,000 - £110,000 per annum + £7,000 car allowance + 45% bonus

Based in Hertfordshire, 3 days a week in the office

Audit & Risk Recruitment are proud to be working with one of the most recognisable Retail businesses on the FTSE 100 index, one of the biggest employers in the UK.

Reporting to the Director of Risk, the Head of Risk Management will play a lead role in the design and development of a Risk Management framework that adds tangible value for the global Retail giant. This role will have line management responsibilities for one Risk Manager.

As a Risk leader, you will build and maintain lasting working relationships with stakeholders across the breadth of the group with the aim of promoting and embedding a culture of risk management. You will contribute to the risk change programme, aimed at driving continual improvement. You will work extensively with internal controls and internal audit teams to help implement risk-based strategies for the business. You will report on Risk to the ExCo and the Audit & Risk Committee. You will also be responsible for understanding the evolving discipline of risk and ensuring that the business is up-to-date with technological, strategic and methodological developments in the discipline.

To be considered for this role, you will need several years' experience in Enterprise Risk Management gained from either an industrial or commercial business or a professional services consultancy. Leadership and line management will be highly valued. If you've solely worked in the financial services sector, you are unlikely to be considered for this role.
