Our client, a leading importer of petroleum products is looking for a skilled and experienced Accounting and Finance professional to join their team and oversee financial activities related to the importation of petroleum products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience in the petroleum industry, and a proactive approach to financial management.

- Manage the accounting and financial reporting for petroleum import transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile import-related accounts, including payments, receivables, and payables.
- Coordinate with suppliers, shipping companies, and customs agencies to ensure smooth importation processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts related to petroleum imports.
- Conduct cost analysis and financial modeling to optimize importation strategies and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for petroleum imports.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement and logistics, to streamline import operations and minimize costs.
- Perform periodic audits and financial reviews to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making related to importation strategies and investments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting petroleum imports.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of importation processes, customs regulations, and financial aspects of petroleum trading.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the petroleum or energy sector.
