Job summary
DigiCert has an immediate opening for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Cape Town. This position reports will report to the Senior Tax Manager.
What you will do
- Assist in the preparation and review of the annual statutory and US GAAP tax provision
- Assist in preparing regional income tax returns
- Assist in preparing regional VAT/GST returns and account reconciliations
- Assist in regional tax matters related to acquisitions
- Manage quarterly transfer pricing calculations for regional EMEA entities
- Prepare or review income tax account reconciliations on a quarterly basis for regional entities
- Assist with tax research, tax planning and other special tax projects, including modeling the impact of upcoming tax legislation
- Identify and mitigate tax risk in assigned region
- Other duties as assigned
What you will have
- Degree in Accounting or Taxation and have a minimum of 4 years of progressive tax experience
- Familiarity with local rules related to statutory reporting for statutory accounts and tax returns (income and transactional)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally to solve tax and non-tax issues
- Comfortable with local accounting principles and researching accounting information e.g. journal entries, AP and AR functions
- Experience in NetSuite and advanced MS Excel skills are required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative and creativity, and have the flexibility to adjust to varied work assignments
- Ability to work with a primarily remote team
Nice to have
- US GAAP tax provision experience
- Any prior experience including research and resolution of domestic and international income tax issues
