Our client is looking for a Group Financial Manager to join their team. To provide an accurate account keeping function for the purposes of reliable financial reporting as well as strategical support to Chief Financial Officer.

- To ensure that all stipulated financial deadlines are adhered to, to mitigate risk of late financial reporting.
- Effective mentorship and management of all staff within the Corporate Finance department to ensure deadlines and KPI's are achieved.
- Provide mentorship and direction within the finance departmentby communication clear objectives, coaching, supervising, developing and providing technical assistance as well as staff planning and team management/oversight.
- Maintain integrity of company's ledgers through regular reviews of monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare Statutory Accounts.
- Planning and strategy to ensure achievement of the monthly finance reporting deadlines.
- Oversee statutory reporting including preparation of provisional and annual corporate tax computations and CIPC returns, ensuring adherence to statutory reporting deadlines.
- Manage month end process.
- Review / prepare Finco and Management reports and present to CFO.
- Draft commentary on management report.
- Update and upkeep of fixed asset register.
- Prepare and manage the budget and forecast compilation including monthly reforecasts.
- Prepare and report on the monthly variance analysis.
- Take ownership of group reporting and consolidation.
- Monitor cash flow and attend weekly cashflow meetings/forecasts.
- Facilitate annual audit.
- Review payroll.
- Compile annual budgets.
- Doing weekly/ Monthly internal auditing and implementing improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls and processes.
- Any other responsibility that may be required, but not necessarily detailed above, for the smooth running of the department.
Key Skills:
- Ability to analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
- Proficiency in developing and managing budgets, as well as forecasting future financial performance based on market trends, historical data, and business projections.
- Experience in preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Capability to align financial strategies with overall business objectives and long-term goals of the organization.
- Understanding of financial risks and the ability to develop strategies to mitigate them, including currency risk, interest rate risk, and market volatility.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of finance professionals, delegating tasks effectively and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring the organization operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications:
- This is a senior manager position.
- Must be a qualified CA (non-negotiable)
- 4 to 5 years post articles experience within a group structure
- Strong consolidations experience
- Must have Xero and draft Worx experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment.
- FMCG experience will be an advantage.
- In depth understanding of stock management and costing
