Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Country Head to lead and build a sustainable and profitable business in Zambia.
Responsibilities:
  • Office Profile
  • Develop and deliver a strategy for sustainable and profitable growth, positioning the business as a market leader in the industry.
  • Winning New Business
  • Ensure high-quality pitching and a dynamic CRM program targeting key domestic and international clients.
  • Support business areas with clear marketing plans and best-in-class pitching documentation.
  • Implement a structured Marketing & Communications plan with dedicated resources.
  • Build relationships with key clients and support fee earners in winning new instructions.
  • Participate actively in industry groups and measure market share continuously to increase it.
  • Encourage cross-business/border cross-selling and referrals with supporting systems and rewards.
  • Build the company's profile as the go-to source for market commentary and thought leadership.
  • Establish and implement an effective cross-selling/referrals system.
  • Building the Business
  • Develop and achieve a business plan for future growth, including new ventures.
  • Recruit necessary leaders to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure sector diversification and balanced business/finances.
  • Grow existing service lines and expand the Property Management and Advisory business.
  • Increase net profit margin and fee income per fee earner, achieving financial goals.
  • Enhance team engagement and increase engagement scores.
  • Collaboration
  • Liaise with other Country Heads and Service Line Heads to foster relationships and contribute to the global network.
  • Ensure cross-service line meetings and internal referrals take place effectively.
  • Support the Broadening Horizons program and ensure local team participation.
  • Align with the People Place and Planet initiative to ensure responsible business practices.
  • Support internal team attendance at conferences and business meetings to enhance collaboration.
  • Engage with the launch and distribution of signature publications and collaborate with the COO/CFO to ensure efficient operations.
  • Managing the Business
  • Financial
  • Establish and manage annual budgets, monitoring performance against targets.
  • Set revenue targets for service lines and ensure client and BD plans are in place to achieve them.
  • Business Planning and Financial Management
  • Implement current strategy and ensure key performance indicators are met.
  • Conduct strategy reviews to ensure sustainability and profitability.
  • Manage annual budgeting, re-forecasting, and financial target setting.
  • Review management accounts, manage costs within budget, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, submitting monthly financial reports timely.
  • Manage controllable costs and meet financial goals.
  • Risk
  • Implement relevant policies and procedures for compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
  • Ensure annual declarations of compliance and necessary staff training on legal and compliance requirements.
  • Team
  • Use data insights to track people metrics and take remedial action when necessary.
  • Ensure job specifications and clear organograms are in place.
  • Create engaged and motivated teams, achieving high engagement scores and low attrition rates.
  • Implement effective performance management frameworks and reward programs.
  • Ensure no gaps in the leadership team and maintain a full succession plan.
  • Lead executive-level recruitment and communicate strategic direction effectively.
  • Develop and execute the People strategy to meet overall business strategy.
  • Ensure high-performing Business Services support relevant to the size of the business.
  • Brand
  • Embed the company brand and values, achieving high scores in brand pride and credibility.
  • Ensure a clear and effective Employer and Employee Brand to attract the right talent.
  • Position the company as a leading voice in the industry.
  • Implement Marketing and Communications plans with dedicated resources and measure brand profile improvement.
  • Systems
  • Ensure necessary IT infrastructure, systems, and processes are in place.
  • Implement a data management plan with support from HQ.
  • Ensure effective systems and processes across all business areas.
  • Participate in group system rollouts as required, ensuring local adoption.
