Job Summary

This role within our UK Finance Team, based in our Portlethen Aberdeen Offices. The role has been created to support and work closely with our current Statutory Accountant.

This role is also required to prepare management accounts for Europe & Sub - Sahara Africa Regions.

This role is fast paced with lots to get involved in situated within a great team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support with the preparation and submission of accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with local regulations.
  • Ensure on timely filing of TAX Returns, VAT and any other statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities, as necessary.
  • Review internal controls and provide recommendations on weaknesses noted.
  • Support and handle AP / AR Queries, liaising with the transactional based team in India.
  • Provide accurate timely presentation and accurate balance sheet note.
  • Perform review and analysis of financial statements with business segment owners

Minimum Requirements
  • Recognized Accounting Qualification or actively studying towards Qualification - Essential
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures - Essential.
  • Show and Demonstrate good project and people management abilities - Desired but not Essential.
  • Ability to work on their own and as part of a team - Essential
  • Advanced Excel Skills - Essential
  • Excellent communication skills - Essential
  • Oracle & FMS Systems Experience - Desired not Essential


Please be advised that this is a Local Role based in Portlethen, Aberdeen. We do not offer re location packages, Sponsorship in the UK or Full Remote Working.

This is a flexible Role with option of hybrid working , with a maximum 2 days working from home per week at managers discretion , on completion of a successful probationary period.

During the candidates probationary period, full office attendance is required.
