Mantell Associates is partnered with a leading Life Science organisation, in their search for a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to play a critical role in driving strategic financial decision-making.

Senior Manager of FP&A -

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting process, including revenue forecasts, expense projections, and capital expenditure planning
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure that financial goals are aligned with overall business objectives
• Prepare monthly forecasts and variance analyses to evaluate financial performance against budget and previous periods
• Identify key drivers of variances and provide actionable recommendations to optimize financial outcomes
• Partner with senior management to assess critical initiatives, investment opportunities, and potential business risks
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to understand the financial impact of various business decisions
• Develop and maintain management reporting dashboards and key performance metrics to monitor business performance
• Present financial results and insights to executive leadership in a clear, concise manner to facilitate data-driven decision-making
• Build and maintain complex financial models to support long-term planning, scenario analysis, and investment valuation
• Continuously refine models to reflect changing business dynamics and market conditions
• Work closely with departments such as Sales, Operations, Quality, and Human Resources to ensure alignment of financial plans with operational strategies
• Act as a strategic partner to functional leaders, providing financial expertise and guidance
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning processes
• Leverage automation and digitization tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort
• Support business unit-level initiatives, special projects, and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
• Recruit, lead, coach, and develop the finance & accounting team to ensure professional and technical growth
• Foster talent retention and enable career progression within the team

Senior Manager of FP&A - Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and MS PowerPoint; additional IT skills such as Data Warehouse, Oracle, and SAP are advantageous
• Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and implementing best practices within an FP&A function
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a proven record of career progression and a desire to stretch capabilities
