Lead Financial Excellence in Broadcasting as a Financial Controller!

Join a leading media network, as a Financial Controller, where your financial acumen will be instrumental in driving our broadcasting success. You'll oversee comprehensive financial operations, ensuring adherence to our policies while optimizing processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor budgets to identify variances and report accordingly.
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze management accounts.
• Produce management information reports.
• Contribute to improving work processes and financial systems.
• Verify all transactions for compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation and recording of all journal postings.
• Monitor and review transaction flows and promote process improvements.
• Ensure timely issuance of invoices and month-end statements to debtors.
• Maintain the accounts receivable database and ensure timely collection of all amounts owed to the company.
• Maintain the accounts payable database and ensure all creditors are paid promptly.
• Prepare all month-end reconciliations.
• Manage the company's daily cash flow requirements.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Contribute to the timely preparation of annual budgets.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
• Prepare the year-end audit file.
• Oversee and provide guidance on travel for commercial contracts and editorial requirements.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Location/Base:

• Sandton, South Africa

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in the broadcasting or media sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience in managing financial reporting, taxation, and compliance.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
• Excellent skills to interact with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to drive business decisions based on financial insights.
