Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct operational audits with a focus on areas vulnerable to fraud, including unusual loan transactions, branch cash-out instances, and expense abuse.
• Perform cash variance checks, investigate end-of-day discrepancies, and conduct monthly cash counts.
• Ensure the accuracy of cash-to-bank and bank-to-cash audits, and validate transactions by sampling 10-20 clients weekly.
• Execute financial audits to verify the implementation of accounting policies, reconcile loan books, and review expense authorizations.
• Audit clearing accounts, inspect processed journals, and review banking rights and recipients.
• Carry out compliance audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel across Africa.
• A genuine passion for Africa and the drive to work in a developing world context.
