Management Accountant | £40,000-£45,000 | Hybrid role - 3 days office | Leominster, Hereford
Responsibilities of our Management Accountant:
* Responsibility for the Fixed Asset Register and the verification of assets across the UK sites
* Ownership of the IFRS 16 Leased Asset Accounting ensuring Sharecontrol is accurate
* Continually reviewing Assets Under Construction and capitalising Assets
* Process the Disposal of Assets ensuring they have been approved accordingly
* Focus on the accuracy of forecasting Capex spend and Deprecation
* Working closely with key stakeholders to collate longer term Capex spend plans for the Budget and Strat Plan years
* Post-Acquisition Capex Project Reviews in accordance with the Accounting Manual
* Posting journals at month end including prepayments/accruals & provisions
* Allocation of Divisional Management & IT Recharges
* Provide cover for the Compliance Accountant with regards to business critical tasks such as: Balance Sheet Recs, Intercompany Balance Reconciliations, VAT, Inward Processing Relief (IPR), Plastic Packaging Tax.
* Performing checks and approving both vendor and payroll payments
* Creating Banks in SAP
* Vendor Confirmations
* Working with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information to assist with decision making
* Identifying and taking responsibility of areas which could be more efficient in order to give more time to more value added activities
* Liaising with internal and external audit when required
You will have:
* An accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA and/or bachelor’s degree, or working towards.
* Demonstrate ongoing professional development.
* Excellent Interpersonal skills
* Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills including MS Word and Excel.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
