Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits a successful Tax Consultant / Senior Tax Professional who wants to build a stable career with an accounting firm based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. If you are looking for a great working environment within a smaller team where you can have a large impact then this is the role for you. The successful candidate will report to the relevant Partner, supervising staff within the tax department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the full tax administration function to a portfolio of clients (individuals, companies and trusts)
• Act in an advisory and consulting capacity as required
• Oversee and manage all tax matters
• Supervise and train staff and manage the overall tax department at the firm
• Assisting relevant Accountants and Partners with tax queries in relation to specific client needs / situations
• Preparation of Income Tax returns for Individual Taxpayers
• Oversee and assist with preparations, calculation and submission of tax
• Application for Tax Clearance Certificates

Requirements:

• 15+ years' experience in a specialized Tax position, preferably at a senior level
• Completed BCom degree, with Tax specialisation (advantageous)
• Exceptional client interaction skills
• Previous experience managing staff
