As an Associate Director in our Institutional Business, you will play a key role in the Leveraged & Acquisition Finance & Structured Solutions team - responsible for originating, structuring and executing event driven transactions for existing customers and new to bank opportunities.
In this role you will support Deal Team leaders on complex credits and aid in the development of junior analysts. You will service Corporate & Institutional business customers. This is a truly unique opportunity to gain valuable deal experience in a high-profile growth business.

In a typical day or week, your work will involve the following:
- Working with junior analysts and other members of the deal team, you will ensure all facets of the credit process on live transactions are well coordinated, including:
- Credit analysis and preparation of internal credit submissions.
- Financial modelling and performance of sensitivity analysis.
- Reviewing deal materials, company information and due diligence reports.
- Proactive preparation of marketing materials (deal flyers, sponsor market updates, pitch materials) targeted at existing customers and financial sponsors.
- Assisting senior team members and internal legal with the review of finance documentation.
- Managing internal work streams during deals from origination through to funding.
- Review and management of portfolio customers.
- Assist in developing and executing deal pipeline and account plans in accordance with Product Transaction Guidelines.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Collaborative approach to work, open minded and able to connect with empathy.
- Strong proficiency in LBO/cash flow/financial modelling.
- Proactive self-starter with an ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with experience in the interpretation and analysis of complex financial data.
- Well-developed credit/risk assessment skills gained through an experience in corporate, commercial or investment banking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven attention to detail.
- Sound interpersonal, networking and relationship skills with a track record of influencing outcomes.
- Relevant banking experience in corporate or institutional banking with leveraged finance experience considered a plus.
- Appropriate tertiary/post graduate qualification/relevant professional qualifications.
