The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a FP&A Lead to join us and support with the design and driving the Finance forecasting and reporting processes, ongoing operating plan variance analysis, monthly forecasts, and ad hoc special analysis projects. The role will provide analysis and reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Group Financial Controller and the CFO together with delivering continuous reporting improvements including the enhancement of data and automation of reporting practices.
The role is to provide insights, support and optimal business decision making which demands high quality, detailed information. We are on an exciting transformation journey as a business, so why not join us! The role will be based in our central London office and we offer hybrid working (2 days - office, 3 days - home)! Principle Accountabilities
- Coordinate the provision of monthly management information, working with Divisional Finance colleagues to deliver month end actuals ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Responsible for data reviews and accuracy checking on all reporting and forecasting.
- Prepare month end commentary for actuals vs budget/forecast.
- Be the point of contact for all FP&A reporting requests.
- Coordinate and consolidate the 5-year Strategic Planning process, driving a robust and value-added budgeting and strategic planning process.
- Provide insightful performance analysis to facilitate discussions to drive and optimise performance.
- Support of the continued development and improvement of budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Develop, implement, and work with appropriate business intelligence and planning tools and dashboard reports.
- Develop financial models and analyses to support decision making and tracking of strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to support decision making and tracking of strategic initiatives.
- Proactively create ideas for process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group Policies and Procedures, Legislation and Regulations.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ACMA) with a progressive track record of success, ideally within a fast-moving organisation.
- Experience in a similar role and ideally within a PLC environment.
- Proactive and transformational mindset, always challenging the status quo for improvements to deliver ‘best in class’ process and tools in an evolving environment.
- Solid financial acumen with strong analytical/technical skills, together with a strong accounting/control background and excellent process skills.
- Knowledge of COGNOS, IBM Planning and Analytics and consolidation of accounts.
- Able to convey complex financial and accounting issues in a clear, focused, and concise way.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage deadlines being hands on and task oriented.
- Can demonstrate a collaborative style with evidence of driving a partnering approach across the business whilst showing the credibility to hold the business to account for delivery against performance and process requirements.
- Very high level of initiative and self-motivation but also able to follow the agreed way of working.
