Orka Financial is currently working with an established business based in Slough which is looking to hire an interim accountant for an on-going assignment. Due to some recent changes in the team, this role will be needed for the foreseeable future.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a small finance function, you will be responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. You will have full ownership of the balance sheet and be the go-to finance person for the operations team. With this, you will have regular contact with the accounts payable and credit control teams as well as the treasury department for intercompany reporting.

You will need to have at least five years experience in a similar role, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to offer ideas of where reporting processes could be improved. This could include any systems changes that would streamline the current way of working.

In order to be considered for this role you will need to be at least part qualified ACCA or CIMA, with excel skills to include pivot tables and vlook ups. You will also need to be available on no more than two week's notice.

Our client operate a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the office as a minimum expectation. The standard hours are 9-5:30 but there is some flexibility with this.

The office has plenty of parking and is accessible by public transport as well.
