Our client, a leading insurance firm, is committed to delivering innovative and comprehensive solutions to their clients. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of FP&A (Partner) to join their team based in Central London.

Job Description:

In this pivotal role, you will lead the FP&A function, providing crucial financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive business performance. You will work closely with senior leadership to shape the financial strategy and support decision-making processes across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the FP&A team, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Develop and implement robust financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and analysis to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Evaluate and improve financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration planning.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Key Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in a senior FP&A role, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
