An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team as an FP&A Analyst. The Group FP&A team play a critical role in co-ordinating and delivering financial plans and insight, used by senior executives to steer the business.

The role will give you a unique insight into the Group-wide picture (both internal and external) and to have a direct involvement in the creation of analysis and material for the Group CEO, the Group CFO, the Executive team and the Board. You will be joining the team at an energising time as we put in place integrated performance management across the group, which will ensure we deliver our targets and make the right progression in our performance.

The Group FP&A Analyst role will offer a fantastic platform for future progression and you will be joining a manager, and a wider team, who are committed to supporting your development. You will work with, and gain exposure to, a wide range of teams across the Group including Investor Relations, Divisional FP&A, Group Finance and Senior Leadership.

This role reports directly to the Senior FP&A Manager - Group, who is responsible for leading Group performance management.

What you will be doing:

In this role, you will provide insightful analysis of the drivers of actual performance and variances to plan, summarising inputs from the Divisions to create a concise story for senior stakeholders. You will also;
  • Assist in the production of the monthly performance reports for the Group CFO, the Group CEO and the Board, which analyse and provide insights on year-on-year movements and variances to budget/forecast
  • Assist in the production ad-hoc performance reporting to analyse specific topics as they arise from senior leadership and other stakeholders (e.g. the Investor Relations team)
  • Set up and maintaining master performance management templates for Group and the Divisions actuals and in year forecasting
  • Update and maintain the HFM retrieve datapack, which is a key data repository for the wider FP&A team
  • Undertake ad hoc analytical tasks to support wider team deliverables
  • Seek to continuously improve management information and data

  • Professionally qualified Accountant or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams

  • Proactive, accountable, hands-on and able to work on own initiative
  • Analytical, curious and with an attention to detail
  • Strong experience using finance systems (Oracle Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle Hyperion Planning preferred)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills


The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be Grade 7-10.
