The FP&A Accountant role is a key member of the Group FP&A team and will report directly to the Group FP&A Director. Your responsibility will be to support the Group FP&A team in providing numerical, commercial insight and analysis of the key drivers of our business as well as the wider finance community as well as being a core part of the group wide planning processes.

The FP&A Accountant role is a key member of the Group FP&A team and will report directly to the Group FP&A Director. Your responsibility will be to support the Group FP&A team in providing numerical, commercial insight and analysis of the key drivers of our business as well as the wider finance community as well as being a core part of the group wide planning processes.
Accountabilities and
Responsibilities:
- Take reporting from the BSU and with the support of the senior members of the team, use it to drive strong, value adding insight and support for all financial aspects of the business across the regions and group wide
- Play a consolidation role in the annual budget process and subsequent reforecasting exercises, across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow elements
- Use strong modelling (Excel and other tools) and analytical skills to help develop ways of assessing business performance
- Support the senior members of the team by maintaining the Excel models (e.g. budget and plug & play) ensuring their integrity as well as ensuring data quality of the inputs and outputs
- Develop insight and understanding of the major P&L / Balance sheet drivers from operational, financial, commercial and people data
- Significant input to the budget/forecasting processes, providing requisite knowledge and understanding of the business to help feed assumptions
- Communicate insight and findings via clear and crisp presentations / documents for example the monthly board pack
What we need from you:
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Experience of working in a finance function in reporting / analysis / accounting role
- Experience in month end close and input to budgeting
- Evidence of building detailed financial models and exposure to reporting cycles
- Able to communicate effectively with finance / non-finance people through a variety of media eg. Spreadsheets and presentations (strong MS Excel ability is important)
- Sound understanding of the business / finance function
- Commercially focused Finance professional who has excellent accounting, modelling and analysis skills
- Capability to handle a wide breadth of topics relating to performance, plus an ability to work under pressure
