AR Assistant/Credit Controller - Travel Industry



Salary:
£35,000



Location:
NW London

Hybrid: 3 days in the office per week

An exciting opportunity for a Credit Controller to join a leading travel management company. With operations across the UK and Europe, they serve customers across the globe. After year on year growth since the pandemic, they are now looking to expand their operations in all markets over the next few years. This growth has led to a fantastic new opportunity for a permanent AR/Credit Controller.

Main responsibilities and requirements:
  • Experience in dealing with multi-currencies and international ledgers
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts.
  • Cash allocation and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial record of all receivable transactions and verifications.
  • End to end Accounts Receivable Process and Optimisation
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
  • Assist in streamlining the accounts
  • Credit Control and cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our customers.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to support the cash collections and monitor payments using payment terms.
  • Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to provide financial expertise and support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the UK&I Head of Financial Operations in areas of month-end, financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations related to AR.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel - pivot tables and vlookups essential

The successful candidate must have previous recent experience working as a Credit Controller, preferably looking after a volume ledger. You will be well organised with an analytical mind and be competent using accounting systems and Excel.
