Semi-Senior Accountant
Up to £35K DOE

We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Peterborough who are looking for an ambitious experienced Semi-Senior or Newly Qualified Accountant to join the team. As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, providing them with a high-quality service and developing your skills in all areas of accounting and taxation. Key

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Preparing tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Assisting with VAT returns
• General bookkeeping duties
• Supporting the senior team with accounting issues
• Liaising with clients to gather relevant financial information and ensure that deadlines are met

Requirements:

• Accounting qualifications such as part ACCA/AAT qualified are desirable
• At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience using accounting softwares
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
