Semi-Senior Accountant
Up to £35K DOE
We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Peterborough who are looking for an ambitious experienced Semi-Senior or Newly Qualified Accountant to join the team. As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, providing them with a high-quality service and developing your skills in all areas of accounting and taxation. Responsibilities:
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Preparing tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assisting with VAT returns
- General bookkeeping duties
- Supporting the senior team with accounting issues
- Liaising with clients to gather relevant financial information and ensure that deadlines are met
- Accounting qualifications such as part ACCA/AAT qualified are desirable
- At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience using accounting softwares
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
