Location:
This role will be site based at our Eastwood Head Office

Role Purpose

To provide a high quality, end to end financial management service to the Business Partners, Head of Finance, Financial Director, Managing Director and Senior Management Team of The Wilmott Group Ltd, WB Power Services Ltd and Wiltech Acoustics Ltd.

We are excited to introduce the role of Management Accountant, a newly established position created in response to our company’s rapid growth over the past few years - a trend we anticipate will continue.

This role is pivotal to our on-going success, as it will be instrumental in enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of our finance team.

The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to shape the role and make a significant impact, tailoring it to the evolving needs of our business.

This is a key position that not only supports our current operations but also contributes to our decision making processes, ensuring we are well position for future growth and success.

Key Deliverables:-

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts for our Projects, Wiltech Acoustics Ltd and Renewables divisions, including analysis and interpretation of business performance.

• Ensure that planned and actual performance is reported effectively and understood by the senior management team.

• Provide timely and accurate financial information, analysis, and insights to guide decision making and inform the forecasting and budgeting processes.

• Conduct financial modelling to predict future financial performance.

• Provide professional financial advice and guidance to Project Managers

• Use your deep understanding of the business to identify cost management initiatives and opportunities to improve efficiency.

• Work with the Head of Finance to develop the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of financial reports and management information

• Produce project/operational cash flow forecasts and support credit control routines related to major projects.

• Ownership and reconciliation of project balance sheet - WIP, cost accruals & deferred/Accrued income.

• Ensure the integrity of Protean driven control accounts - WIP, stock, PO accruals

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement effective solutions.

• Assist Business Partners with monthly reporting and consolidations for the Group

• Assist with annual audit preparation and delivery

• Work closely with other areas of the finance team, the Head of Finance and other reports to the Finance Director, to ensure that overall objectives are delivered.

• Ad hoc investigations and projects as requested by the Head of Finance, Finance Director, Managing Director and senior management team.

Person Specification:-

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong commercial acumen and a keen eye for detail. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with colleagues across different departments. Experience in management accounting, working capital optimisation and financial analysis is essential, along with proficiency in Excel.

Essential

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA), QBE will not be considered

• Strong excel skills, comfortable working with large sets of data.

• Continuous improvement mindset, willing to innovate and improve practices

• High integrity with a keen eye for accuracy

• Able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and understand / interpret information quickly

• Previous experience within a similar role

• Strong systems skills and experience in working with Microsoft Office tools.

Desirable

• Experience in project accounting or accounting for long-term-contracts is highly desirable.
