Reference: SW005009-CL-1Somerset West, Western Cape: A prestigious 5-star establishment situated in the Helderberg region is seeking to employ an experienced Junior Bookkeeper / Finance Clerk to join their Finance & Administration Team.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
At least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a hospitality-related environment
Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject is essential
Opera PMS experience
Pastel experience
Inventory / Purchasing System experience
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in relevant software and tools
Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills in the English language
The ability to keep sensitive information confidential
Must be approachable, engaging and helpful
Must have good multitasking abilities
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Provide administrative support to the Financial Manager and Finance Team
Accounts Payable
Credit card reconciliations
Daily F & B audit
Weekly flash food cost
Journal sundry supplier invoices to Pastel
Accounts receivable (leave cover)
Daily revenue report (leave cover)
Posting daily revenue and receipts to Pastel (leave cover)
Check daily voids from F & B (leave cover)
Check duty meals daily (leave cover)
Processing all purchasing invoices on inventory system (leave cover)
CANDIDATES WHO RESIDE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO SOMERSET WEST WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
