The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions and management reporting, ensuring completeness, accuracy, timeliness and compliance with accounting principles, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and performing reconciliations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual management accounts
- Recording and verifying financial transactions
- Maintaining general ledger accounts
- Preparing budgets and forecasts
- Variance analysis and investigations
- Analysing financial data to identify trends and providing insights
- Performing account reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Improving the reporting system to be in line with new technology and industry trends
- Performing related month end procedures in the finance and reporting systems
- Recommending actions to resolve discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate and organised financial records
- Preparing documentation for audits and other financial reviews
- Assisting with the implementation of financial systems and processes
- Collaborating with other departments to support overall financial health of the organisation
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Management accounting experience would be advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
