Your new company
Our client is a growing, profitable business in the construction and maintenance sector with offices in Northamptonshire.


Your new role
This position reports to the company's Financial Controller and is a supporting role to the other members of the finance team. In this position your responsibilities would include:

  • Providing reports to the network from the financial system 'Great Plains' (MS Dynamics) extracted to excel. Reports include the monthly self-bill, BACS Remittances, monthly statements, monthly aged debt.
  • Raising monthly sales invoices to the franchisees for royalty fees and central fees along with adhoc invoices such as rebates.
  • Completing weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Sending a weekly payment to the franchisees along with other adhoc bank payments and transfers.
  • Investigating customer requests for refunds and processing if required.
  • Providing adhoc financial analysis for queries around sales revenue, cash allocation and cost queries
  • Key financial support for business development managers and internal sales colleagues
  • Supporting the Month End Close and Reporting.
  • Supporting the data collection around the Year End Reporting and Audit
  • Supporting any Tax compliance or legislative requirements


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal person for the position will be AAT qualified and have either started studying or be keen to study towards the ACCA or CIMA qualification. Two years' experience to date in accountancy and finance is essential, along with a confident system knowledge of working on MS Excel. It would be advantageous if you had experience in a service/contracting business. Personal qualities required include strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, enthusiasm and the ability to work using your own initiative.
